longest overs in cricket 13-balls over of Panyangara

Panyangara had the honour of bowling Zimbabwe’s first over in the Champions’ Trophy 2004 in England. It wasn’t a proud moment for the young man whose name on a scoreboard often scores more than his entire team in a Test. Starting the over with two wides, he squirted total of seven wides in the opening over of tournament.

All of the seven wides came off just two legal deliveries, somehow, he managed to bowl remaining four balls with no further embarrassment. Fortunately, many at stadium missed his embarrassment as they were being interrogated in specially built ICC cells for drinking fizzy pop not approved by the tournament organisers.
