#7 Ravichandran Ashwin

After the dip in the form of Harbhajan Singh, India’s hunt for another world class off spinner ended in Ravichadran Ashwin. India has always had the history of producing the greatest spinners worldwide and R Ashwin is the lastest addition to the list. Being an engineer, Ashwin uses all his angles in his attempts to fox the batsman and showed his capability in the T20 World Cup. He was excellent on the spinning tracks of Bangladesh throughout the World Cup but in the semifinal against South Africa, he bowled a delivery that was hailed as the delivery of the tournament by Adam Gilchrist.

Bowling around the wicket to Hashim Amla who is normally a very capable batsman to handle quality spin bowling, he pitched the ball outside leg to him and as he prepared to play the ball on the on-side, the ball zipped past his defence making a mess of his stumps. It was a ripper of a carrom ball and had a big impact on the game.
