Injured Chris Lynn Set to Make His Comeback
The big-hitting Chris Lynn set to make his comeback in the IPL 2017 after some gap due to the dislocated shoulder. Kolkata Knight Riders’ batsman Chris Lynn has recovered sufficiently from his shoulder injury and is itching to get back on the field as soon as possible. He decided to stay back in Kolkata with his team and is now eyeing a comeback against Kings XI Punjab on May 9. Kolkata Knight Riders have had a good run for far in the tournament and the team is on the verge of securing a place in the playoffs. The Gautam Gambhir led side has received a big boost as Chris Lynn is all set to make a comeback.
“The shoulder is slowly getting there. I had a cortisone injection the other day and it worked really well,” Lynn was quoted saying.
“I was going really when I was playing, but it helps the boys are winning, that’s got me through. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and hope to get back out there sooner rather than later,” he added.
Lynn, who smashed an unbeaten 41-ball 93 for KKR in their first game away to Gujarat Lions, batted for 35 minutes at the nets and was seen applying ice pack on his injured shoulder at the team bus while leaving the Eden. It is learnt that Chris Lynn will be playing his first game (After injury) against Kings XI Punjab on May 9th. Chris Lynn-less Kolkata Knight Riders almost made their way to the qualifier berth in the IPL 2017 and are currently placed second on the IPL 2017 points table.
