How MI can make their NRR better then RR(& SRH)
Before this I wrote a Article whose name is “MI’s lost much needed win game, but their hopes still alive“ The purpose of writing this article was to send message to those MI fans or haters who were saying that ” Bye, Bye MUM’BYE’ ”
I saw 80% of Mi fans abusing Mi’s team because they were feeling MI is disQualified but then i wrote this article and it was opened by thousands of IPL Lovers.
Now i am writing another article naming “How MI can make their NRR better then RR(or from SRH)”
After today’s match KKR vs SRH, I will update it as if SRH wins, then SRH can also Qualify and SRH will join the race with MI & RR but if SRH lose than SRH will be officially disqualified.
MI vs RR game on Sunday is Do or Die game,,,,
Mi can Only Qualify if their NRR is better than RR & SRh otherwise MI can’t Qualify even by winning this match.
First of All let me give you short description about Net Run. Rate(NRR)
Net Run. Rate(NRR)
The run rate of any team in any tournament is calculated by given formula,
…………Runs Scored by team Runs Conceded by team
NRR = —————————– X ———————————-
………….Overs faced by team Overs bowled by team
Present NRR of MI
Mumbai Indians have scored 1985 runs from 256.2 Overs so far in IPL 07
Mumbai Indians have conceded 1981 runs from 253.3 Overs so far in IPL 07
If you calculate NRR of MI from above formula it will be approx. – 0.09 (Present NRR of MI – 0.086)
[AdSense-A]
Present NRR of RR
RR Innings:- 135(.3) + 191 + 133(0.1) + 71(7) + 152 + 156(1.3) + 170 + 102(o.1) + 191(1.1) + 148 + 201 + 153 + 163
RR Opposition Innings:- 133 + 193 (1.2) + 140 + 70 + 152 + 152 + 160 + 134 + 190 + 149(0.2) + 139 + 178 + 179
Between Brackets in RR Innings there is remaining balls or before how many balls they chased the target 135(0.3) means RR Played 19.3 Overs in this match.
Between Brackets in RR Opposition Innings there is remaining balls or before how many balls Opposition chased the target 193(1.2) means Opposition Team Played or RR Bowled 18.4 Overs in this match.
Rajastan Royals have scored 1966 runs from 249.4 Overs so far in IPL 07
Rajastan Royals have conceded 1969 runs from 258.2 Overs so far in IPL 07
If you calculate NRR of MI from above formula it will be approx. + 0.25 (Present NRR of MI + 0.247)
What should be the result:-
If MI bat first:-
Mumbai Indians Should win by 40-50 Runs.
If MI bat Second:-
If RR score 100-140 Runs then MI should chase it within 15-16 Overs
If RR score 140-160 Runs then MI should chase it within 14-15 Overs
If RR score 160+ Runs then Mi should chase it within 13-14 Overs
So from Above Calculations it is clear that Mumbai Indians should show A-R performance(Good Show both by Bowling and Batting)
Hope for best, Share this with your friends 😉
