Brendon McCullum, the New Zealand captain, was honored with a short period of time with a place on Dunedin’s map. Logan Park Drive was renamed as Brendon McCullum Drive by the Dunedin City Council, for the brief duration of the Cricket World Cup (14 February to 29 March 2015).
Trevor Bailey who was the all-rounder of England cricket team and BBC Test Match Special commentator has had a road named after him in his home county of Essex. Bailey completed 87 years of his life and died in 2011. He played county cricket for Essex for an appreciable period of more than 20 years and made his Test debut against New Zealand in 1949. He died at his birthplace which was Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, and spent his entire first-class career with his county team. Trevor Bailey Drive is on a new housing estate near Castle Park in Colchester.
In 2011 Shivnarine Chanderpaul was made an honorary citizen of Dominica for becoming the most capped and extraordinary test player in West Indies history. He also received Guyana’s third highest national award, the Cacique Crown of Honor.To pay tribute to him, there is a street named after him – Shiv Chanderpaul Drive in Guyana’s capital city, Georgetown.
