hahid Afridi’s fastest century record not broken yet by New
Zealand Corey Anderson
With all the buzz around that New Zealand’s Corey Anderson has broke the 17 year record of shahid afridi for making the.fastest century, its not official yet.
He broke this record and scored century on just 36 balls hitting 12
tremendous sixes and 4 fours to complete his century.
It may be pointed out that Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi made the record of fastest century in 1996 against Sri
Lanka on 37 balls, while this record has been chased by Corey against
West Indies.
But International Cricket Council laws require at least 25 overs in the
match to term it as ODI.
However, the match between West Indies and New Zealand had to be
restricted to 21 overs doubting that fastest century record has been
broken.
But ICC’s verdict will finalize the matter.
