Cricket has come a long way with many modifications with rules affecting the nature of game play. It was difficult to score before than now. Like any other internationally acclaimed game, Cricket integrates so many technologies to get accurate results. Of course, many of them still out rightly gets rejected by the purists. Yet still, several technological amendments are slowly becoming part of the game.

1) Snickometer
This technology is Commonly known as Sniko, It is used in televising Cricket to graphically analyse sound and video and show the noise frequency to find out whether the ball touched the bat before going to the keeper or fielder.
It was invented British computer scientist Allan Plaskett, and was introduced in the mid-90’s and since then it has become a key technology to find out whether the ball touched the bat or not. The Snickometer is frequently used by 3rd umpires to take correct decisions on a complex catch appeal. The shape of the frequency helps the umpire to find out if the ball touched the bat or not before going to the wicketkeeper or fielder.
