Unbreakable Cricket Record: 300 runs by a batsman in a T20 match
Delhi batsman created world record as he became the first batsman to score 300 runs in an innings in T20 cricket, as reported by ABP Live.
Mohit Ahlawat, a wicketkeeper batsman, who has played for Delhi in 2015 Ranji trophy smashed a triple century in a T20 match. The 21 year old youngster smashed 300 runs from just 72 balls.
His unbelievable innings consisted of 14 fours and 39 sixes. His team posted a score of 416 runs in just 20 overs. Mohit scored 34 runs from the last over match (5 sixes and 1 four). Though he scored just 5 runs from 3 first-class matches he played for Delhi, he seemed to be a superstar.
The 21 year old played his debut first-class match against Rajasthan for Delhi. Mohit stole the world record of highest individual score by a batsman in T20 cricket from West Indian T20 legend Chris Gayle. Chris Gayle’s 175* in Indian Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore was the previous highest individual score in T20. What is more surprising is that Mohit is just 21 years old and he seemed to have a long cricketing career ahead of him.
In T20 Internationals, Australia’s opening batsman Aaron Finch scored the most runs in an innings, 156 against England in 2013.
